Malaria, a mosquito-borne illness, is one of the leading causes of death for children under 5 in sub-Saharan Africa. When a young child falls ill with fever, nausea, or respiratory distress, many parents fear the worst. Without early detection and treatment, children with malaria may die.
Malaria is inexpensive and easy to treat. But medication can be difficult for providers in rural areas to keep in stock. Your gift this Mother’s Day can change that!
